Sadness is a Disney Speedstorm Racer. She is classed as a Defender and she is part of the Inside Out Collection.
Sadness is one of the first and most basic emotions that appear in someone's head. In Disney Speedstorm, Sadness's racing suit is vaguely inspired by the blueness of the character in the original Disney film, however, most of the outfit remains blue with small light gray parts on her back, sleeves, belt and calves, unlike the cartoon where she was wearing a fluffy gray sweater. Sadness's big round glasses have been preserved in the game along with her pessimistic and indecisive personality. Her Unique ability allows her to use blue orbs to slow down her opponents or even start crying to affect them all at once.

Origin[]
Sadness in the original Disney film.
Sadness is the deuteragonist of the animated feature film "Inside Out" (2015) made by Disney&Pixar. She is one of the first emotions to appear inside the mind of Riley Andersen. Sadness's main task, as well as the other emotions', is to react to Riley's life and press buttons on the control panel depending on the situation she is in. Sadness is often pushed aside and isolated by Joy as she always makes Riley upset. Over the course of the movie, Sadness embarks on a journey along with Joy despite being too sad to walk or do anything, and eventually Joy realizes that Sadness is as important as all the other emotions, and they manage to create a combined reaction (Melancholy) to Riley's embrace with her parents.
Base statistics[]
These are the regulated Racer statistics players receive on level 15 (low-level), then when they are mid-level (30/50) and then when they are high level (45/50). These numbers can be increased by leveling the character and adding Crew Members to the Racer profile. However, the current numbers do not account for any Crew Member enhancements.

| Level 20 | Level 30 | Level 50 | |
| Top Speed: | 4579 | 5206 | 6918 |
| Acceleration: | 4368 | 4883 | 6649 |
| Handling: | 3209 | 3377 | 3836 |
| Boost: | 2926 | 3501 | 5071 |
| Combat: | 3701 | 4578 | 6973 |
Crew Members[]
Crew members are chips that amplify some of the Racer's stats. Players can choose up to 4 Crew Members (slots need to be unlocked with the character progression). All Crew Members are characters from the related Disney films. Sadness currently has 15 Crew Members that players can choose from. Crew Members can be Common, Rare or Epic. Common Crew Members increase 2 of the Racer statistics and and strengthen 1 of their common Skills. Rare Crew Members have the ability to amplify 3 of the same statistics, give a skill bonus, and some of them also give extra Loot Point % bonus (needed for Mystery Boxes). Epic Crew Members are the most powerful as they boost all the Racer's statistics, let the Racer start the race with one of their common Skills, and also give a bonus to the Unique Skill of the Racer they are attached to (each Epic Crew Member is unique to one Racer).
